Police Seek Help Identifying Man Who Robbed Bank
Montgomery County police have released a surveillance photo of the culprit in a bank robbery that occurred inside a grocery store Tuesday in Wheaton. Police hope someone can identify him.
About 2:18 p.m. Tuesday, Wheaton District officers responded to the PNC Bank inside of the Giant Food grocery store at 2900 University Blvd. West for the report of a bank robbery, police said.
Detectives learned the man handed a note to the teller demanding money, police said. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled. He was last seen on foot near the 11100 block of Veirs Mill Road, police said.
Anyone with information about the suspect or this bank robbery is asked to contact the Montgomery County Police Department – Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5100.
