Police Find Missing Seven-Year-Old Damascus Boy (PHOTOS)

UPDATED Police officers have found Raphael Leon.

ORIGINAL POST Montgomery County Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing seven-year-old Damascus boy.

Police said Raphael Leon of the 25500 block of Butterfield Way in Damascus was last seen running from his home and running down the street at approximately 7:45 p.m. Monday night. According to police, Raphael has Down syndrome and has a limited ability to communicate. He may not respond to the calling of his name, police said.

damascus1Raphael is described by police as a hispanic male with brown eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a multicolored plaid shirt, green shorts, and gray colored eyeglasses (as worn in the photo).

There is an active police search for Raphael at this time. Residents can expect to see officers (including Maryland-National Capital Park Police), searching the area. K9 units are also being used. Fire and Rescue personnel are also assisting at this time.

Anyone who sees Raphael Leon or has information on his whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.

    I can’t thank enough the MCPD, fire rescue teams and all people involved in finding my son, it has been the worst experience ever, but it feels good to know the police was there doing their job diligently. You all are definitely our heroes!!!
