Police Say Woman’s Body Found in Burtonsville Pond
A woman was found dead in a Burtonsville pond Wednesday, Montgomery County Police said.
About 3:39 p.m., Silver Spring District officers responded to a pond behind the 14200 block of Ballinger Terrace for the report of a suspicious situation. First responders found the remains of a woman in the pond, police said.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore will conduct an autopsy. More details will be released as they become available, police said.
The woman was the second supposed homicide in Montgomery County on Wednesday. A man was found dead in a Germantown home, police said.
