Police Release Video Surveillance from Silver Spring Armed Robbery (VIDEO)
Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department-Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the December 22, 2014 robbery of the Shell gas station at 9510 Georgia Ave. in Silver Spring. Detectives are releasing store video surveillance and photos of the two men suspected in the crime and are asking for the public’s help in identifying them.
Police reported that at approximately 6 p.m. on December 22, the first man entered the Shell gas station while he talked on his cell phone. The second man then entered the gas station and placed an object between the door and its frame to keep the door ajar. Both suspects approached the counter and yelled at the store employee to give them cash; the second suspect displayed a handgun, according to police. The suspects stole money and cigarettes and fled from the store, police said.
The first suspect is described as a black male who was wearing a black and gray North Face jacket. The second suspect is described as a black male who was wearing a dark colored sweatshirt, black mask, and jeans.
