Montgomery County police released surveillance video of a Montgomery Village robbery at a CVS on July 12 in hopes the public can help identify the robbers.

About 8:42 p.m. Montgomery Village District police responded to the CVS at 9140 Rothbury Drive for the report of an armed robbery that just occurred.

In a statement, police said the robber, who concealed his face and wore dark clothing and gloves, entered the CVS and walked behind the counter where he confronted a clerk.

The robber demanded the clerk open the cash register. If the clerk didn’t, the robber said, “Or I’m going to pull this gun out and use it,” police said. The clerk complied, the robber took cash and fled, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Major Crimes Division at 240.773 .5070. Those who wish to remain anonymous can call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1.866.411.TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.
