Police Release Surveillance Video from Bank Robbery

Montgomery County police officers have released a surveillance video, see below, in hopes you can help them identify a bank robbery suspect.

The bank robbery happened on July 28 shortly after 5 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Bank on Westlake Drive in North Bethesda.

According to the police investigation, the suspect entered the bank and approached a teller. Police said the suspect showed a note to the teller that implied that he had a weapon and that demanded money. Police said the suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot. He was last seen going southbound on Westlake Drive toward Democracy Boulevard, police said.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact the Montgomery County Police Department’s Major Crimes Division at 240.773.5100. To be eligible for a reward, tipsters may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1.866.411.TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to the arrest and/or indictment of this suspect.
