Police Probe Link Between Montgomery, Fairfax Gun Store Burglaries

Montgomery County police are wondering whether a Monday gun store burglary in Chantilly, Va., could be linked to a March 9 burglary at a Rockville gun store, police said.
“We are exploring the possibility that these burglaries are related,” Sgt. Rebecca Innocenti, a county police spokesman, said Thursday.
Thieves took 35 firearms from 50 West Armory, 13930 Metrotech Drive, a Fairfax County police statement said.
In the March 9 theft, two burglars took 24 handguns and seven long guns, according to Montgomery County police. Police said then that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) had joined the investigation. Innocenti said Thursday that ATF was assisting the investigation of the Fairfax burglary.
Three thieves, all believed to be men, are seen in the Chantilly store’s surveillance video.
One is believed to be 22 to 30 years old, 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall, and about 190 to 210 pounds, Fairfax County police said. He had dreadlocks and was wearing a dark blue jacket.
Another is believed to be about 18 to 22 years old, 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet 1 inch tall, and about 165 to 185 pounds, Fairfax County police said. He was wearing a dark jacket with a silver stripe down the sleeves, jeans, black shoes and light-colored gloves.
The third is believed to be about 18 to 22 years old, 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet tall, and about 150 to 170 pounds, Fairfax County police said. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, jeans, black shoes, and light colored gloves.
