Police Locate Missing Woman from Wheaton

UPDATED 9.24.14 Police have located Shirley Dowrich safe and unharmed.

ORIGINAL POST Montgomery County police need your help to find a missing woman from Wheaton.

Police are concerned for the emotional and physical welfare of Shirley Catherine Dowrich, age 77. Police said Dowrich was last seen at 9 a.m. on September 22 at her home in the 12800 block of Crisfield Road. According to police, she suffers from dementia.

Dowrich is described as a black female, 5’ 7” tall, approximately 120 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. Police said she was last seen wearing black pants, a black shirt, a black hat, and blue sneakers with pink soles. She is familiar with the Metro and Ride-On, and frequents the Silver Spring central business district area.

Anyone with any information regarding Dowrich’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Montgomery County Police at 301.279.8000.
