Police Locate Missing Silver Spring Woman

Harmela Y. Tamre of Silver Spring, reported missing on Sunday, December 22, has been located unharmed.

Montgomery County police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a woman missing from Silver Spring.

Harmela Yidnekachew Tamre, age 25, of the 12400 block of La Plata Street in Silver Spring was last seen at approximately 3 p.m. on Dec. 22. Police describe her as a black female with long black hair, 5’1″ tall and weighing 115 pounds. She was last seen wearing scrubs (unknown color) and black shoes, police said.

According to police, Tamre is operating a 2000 Toyota Camry, white in color, with Maryland registration 2EFC92.

Police and family members are concerned for her welfare and her mental well-being.
