Police Need Help to Find Montgomery Village Teen

Montgomery County Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing Montgomery Village teen.

According to police, Charlotte Y. Chan, age 17, of the 9300 block of Weathervane Place in Montgomery Village has been reported missing by her family.

In a statement, police released this description of Charlotte: “asian female, 5’8″ tall, 110 pounds, with brown eyes and long, black hair.”

According to the statement, police and family are concerned for Charlotte’s emotional and physical well-being.

Charlotte was last contacted on August 24, when she was attending a youth summer camp in Nashville, Tennessee. She was scheduled to return home on Sept. 1, but failed to do so.

It is currently unknown if she made it back to the Maryland area.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Charlotte Chan is asked to call the Montgomery County Police Special Victims Investigations Division at 240.773.5400 or the police department’s non-emergency number at 301.279.8000 (24-hour line).
