Police Need Help to Find Missing Silver Spring Man

Montgomery County police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing Silver Spring man.

Edwin Alexander Navarrete, age 19, of the 9400 block of Avenel Road in Silver Spring, was last seen at his residence at 7:50 p.m. on December 26.

Navarrete is described by police as a Hispanic male, 6’2” tall and weighing 240 pounds. He has dark hair and was last seen wearing a black tee shirt and black sweatpants, police said.

Police said family members are concerned about Navarrete’s welfare because he suffers from a mental disorder and is not taking his prescribed medication.
