Montgomery County police detectives released surveillance video Monday from an armed robbery that occurred Saturday at a convenience store in Germantown.

Police hope someone in the public can help identify the perpetrator.

About 2:45 p.m. Saturday, Germantown police district officers responded to the 7-Eleven at 12861 Clopper Road for the report of an armed robbery, police said.

Detectives believe an adult male employee was behind the counter when the culprit entered the store, displayed a handgun, and demanded cash from the registers. The robber obtained cash from the business and fled.

Anyone with information regarding the robber or the robbery is asked to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5100.  Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).  Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.
