Police Investigating Rape Reported Near Twinbrook Metro
Police are investigating a rape of a 16-year-old girl that occurred near the Twinbrook Metro station on Monday.
According to a Montgomery County police statement, the girl said she boarded a bus at Randolph and Selfridge roads in Wheaton.
She and a male passenger, who was on the bus when she boarded, both left the bus when it arrived at the Twinbrook Metro, which is at 1600 Chapman Avenue, Rockville.
The girl told investigators the man forced her to a nearby parking garage on Fishers Lane where he raped her in a stairwell.
After the assault, the man walked the girl back to the Metro station and left the area, police said.
She contacted police about 6:30 p.m., city and county police in Rockville as well Metro Transit officers responding.
Police are looking for a man between the ages of 19 and 25, and is 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall. The man has a thin build, possibly weighing 150 pounds. He also has a tattoo under his right eye.
