Police Investigating Germantown Shooting

Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) detectives are investigating a Germantown shooting that occurred last week.

On May 20, officers found a 29-year-old male in a parking lot with a gunshot wound, according to a police statement. He was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. Officers found the male after getting a report of a shooting around 11 p.m. They responded to the 19500 block of Gunners Branch Road area, where they found him.

Police said they believe the shooting does not appear to be random. MCPD asks anyone with relevant information to call the 5th District Investigative Section at 240-773-6237. Crime Solvers of Montgomery County accepts anonymous callers and may pay up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest. They can be reached toll-free at 1-866-411-8477, and online tips are also accepted.
