Police Investigating Double Fatal in Potomac

Montgomery County police are investigating a Friday night collision that killed two people, a Saturday morning police statement said.

Police said a 2012 Ford Expedition, westbound on Oaklyn Drive, and a 2015 Mercedes CLA45 AMG, eastbound on the street, collided at Pleasant Gate Lane about 7:55 p.m., police said.  Two rear-seat passengers in the Mercedes suffered life-threatening injuries and were taken to a local hospital where they died from their injuries, police said. Police identified them as Hersh Bhansaly, 25, of Bethesda and Brian Everett Laurence, 25, of Potomac.

Police identified the driver of the Mercedes as Daniel Alex Epstein, 25, of the 800 block of Larrabee Street in West Hollywood, California. He was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. An unidentified adult male front-seat passenger in the Mercedes was taken to a local hospital with non-life- threatening injuries.

Police identified the Ford Expedition driver as Addison Leigh Poole, 16, of the 17500 block of Wheat Fall Drive in Derwood.  She was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Two unidentified juvenile female passengers in the Ford were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
