Police Investigating Aspen Hill Shooting
Montgomery County police are investigating a shooting involving two adult victims that happened in Aspen Hill overnight.
According to police, at approximately 12:02 a.m., the Emergency Call Center received a call from a male who said he and a female companion had been shot while parked in a vehicle in the 3800 block of Palmira Lane in the Aspen Hill area. First responders located a 22-year old male and a 36-year-old female at that location; police said both victims were found suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Police describe the injuries as non-life threatening.
The two victims were transported by Fire and Rescue personnel to a local hospital. The victims were conscious and able to provide details to investigators. A preliminary investigation indicates an unidentified male approached the victims while they were seated in their car and began talking to them. Police said he then shot them while they were still in vehicle. Police believe the suspect fled on foot. Police describe the suspect as male in his late teens or early 20s, wearing dark clothing.
