Police Investigate Shooting

Montgomery County police are investigating the report of a possible shooting in the 1100 block of Good Hope Drive that occurred sometime before 8:45 p.m. on Oct. 8.

When officers arrived, police said, they met with a male resident who stated that he had been involved in an altercation at the residence with a female acquaintance and an unknown man. Police said the resident reported that he discharged a firearm during the altercation, possibly striking the unknown man.

During the investigation, police learned that a man was being treated at a local hospital with a gunshot wound. Police believe the two incidents are related. The gunshot victim remains hospitalized in serious condition. The investigation continues.
