Police Investigate Commercial Burglaries in Potomac (PHOTOS)

Potomac robbery surveillance photo 2Montgomery County police officers are investigating three commercial robberies that occurred on Sept. 4th and 5th in Potomac.

According to a press release, the police responded to an alarm at the Cabin John Shopping Center Sunoco gas station at 11355 Seven Locks Road Friday morning at 12:25 a.m. Their investigation revealed that a suspect broke the glass in the door to the store area and attempted to force open the ATM located inside the store. Police report that nothing of value was taken.

According to the police, the following day at approximately 3:23 a.m., they responded to another alarm at the same Sunoco station in Potomac. Police believe the suspect broke in through a glass door and attempted to remove the cash register. Detectives are releasing surveillance photos.

Potomac robbery surveillance photoApproximately ten minutes later at 3:32 a.m., police officers responded to a burglary alarm at the Potomac Express Food and Deli, 12960 Travilah Road. The police investigation revealed a glass door was broken and a suspect entered the deli and then attempted to force open the ATM without success. Police report money was taken from the cash register.
