UPDATE: Police Arrest Two Suspects For The Fatal Shooting at Edgewood Park in Briggs Chaney

UPDATE 10.26.15, 10:15 a.m. Montgomery County police have arrested two suspects for the Oct. 8 homicide of 22-year-old Garrett Alexander McClees, which happened in Edgewood Neighborhood Park.

Earl Junius Bennette and Shante Gladden were arrested on Oct. 23rd and are being charged with first-degree murder and armed robbery, according to Montgomery County Police.

UPDATED 10.9.15 at 1 p.m.  Montgomery County police officers say a 22-year-old man was shot and killed on Thursday afternoon at Edgewood Neighborhood Park at 13900 Robey Road in the Briggs Chaney area.

Police said the call for shots fired was dispatched at 4:43 p.m. and Montgomery County and Maryland-National Capital Park police officers responded. According to police,  the victim had been shot more than once, and he died at the scene from his injuries.

Police have identified him as Garrett Alexander McClees of an undetermined address.

Detectives are urging anyone who may have information regarding this homicide to contact the Major Crimes Division at 240.773.5070. For those who wish to remain anonymous, Crime Solvers is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for any information that leads to the arrest of the suspect(s). ORIGINAL POST Montgomery County police officers are investigating the report of a shooting at Edgewood Park in the 13900 block of Robey Road.

Police said a 22-year-old man has been found dead but it’s unclear if he was shot.

The investigation is ongoing.
