Police Investigate Pedestrian Collision in Silver Spring Area
Montgomery County police officers are investigating a serious pedestrian collision that occurred on Friday afternoon at the intersection of Langley Drive and University Boulevard.
According to police, around 2:42 p.m. a pedestrian was crossing University Boulevard in an eastbound direction and not in a marked crosswalk.
Police said a motorist in a gray, 2006 Honda Accord was traveling northbound on University Boulevard when for unknown reasons the vehicle struck the pedestrian.
Police said the pedestrian was transported to an area hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
The collision remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 240.773.6620.
