Police Investigate Homicide in Silver Spring, Say Victim Was Assaulted Outside Hotel

UPDATED 5.29.17 Montgomery County police have announced two arrests in the Silver Spring homicide investigation.

ORIGINAL 5.28.17 Montgomery County police officers say a 24-year-old man was killed overnight in Silver Spring.

It happened around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday outside the Days Inn hotel on 13th street, according to police.

Police said witnesses reported that the victim was assaulted in the parking lot by a group of suspects. According to police, the victim was able to to return to his room which is where police found him with life-threatening injuries. Police have identified the victim as Sulaiman Jalloh of Bowie. Police said Jalloh was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.

The investigation continues, police said.
