UPDATE: Man Fatally Struck By Train in Rockville
Update (Feb. 4): Montgomery County Police Department released a statement about a fatal pedestrian collision in Rockville involving a train on Monday.
Police said Rockville district officers, Rockville City officers, and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue personnel were dispatched to the scene at 4:12 p.m. on Monday. A pedestrian was struck by a MARC Brunswick Line train on railroad tracks near the 12300 block of Washington Avenue, police said.
Police have identified the man as 28-year-old Arlyn Chun-Hillard. Chun-Hillard was pronounced dead at the scene once police arrived.
Police are continuing to investigate this incident and they asking anyone with information to contact the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070.
This is the second fatal pedestrian collision involving a train in 2020. On Jan. 22, a pedestrian was struck and killed by a CSX Freight train at the Germantown Marc train station near 19301 Mateny Hill Road.
Original Post (Feb. 3): Montgomery County Police Department tweeted Monday afternoon about a fatal pedestrian collision in Rockville involving a CSX train.
Police say the incident occurred in the 6000 block of Halpine Road. As police investigate the incident, Bou Avenue — behind the Target store — will be closed. Drivers should adjust routes accordingly.

Pete Piringer, spokesperson for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS), tweeted that first responders were dispatched to the scene at 4:15 p.m. Piringer say MCFRS did not transport the victim to the hospital, but MCPD is on scene investigating the collision.
