Police Investigate Double Shooting in Germantown
Montgomery County police officers are investigating a double shooting that occurred on Sunday morning in Germantown as a domestic-related case.
It happened in the 19500 block of Frederick Road shortly before 8 a.m. on Oct. 9. Police said dispatchers received a 9-1-1 call from a woman stating she had been shot by her husband. Police said the woman stated that her husband had shot himself as well. According to police, both the husband and wife were transported to area hospitals with life threatening injuries.
Police said they recovered a weapon at the scene.
According to a police account, officers had been called to the same address before the shooting on Sunday morning for a verbal altercation. Police said the husband had called police and said he wanted his wife removed. Police said they interviewed both the husband and the wife and determined there had been an argument but no physical altercation. According to the police account, the wife told police she was going to leave the home shortly.
The investigation continues.
