Police Investigate Bomb Threat at Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School

Montgomery County police officers were called to the Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School in Rockville on Monday morning to investigate a bomb threat.

Police spokesperson Rick Goodale said police received the report at 9:37 a.m. and, he said, officers swept the school but found nothing.

He said police officers are now trying to determine where the call, which may have been a pre-recorded message, originated.

On its Twitter account, the school is thanking followers for their support.

Congressman Jamie Raskin wrote on his Twitter account that he was “appalled” to learn of the threat.

There were reports of other Jewish schools receiving bomb threats on Monday as well.
