Police Investigate Bethesda Street Robbery (VIDEO)

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department are investigating a robbery that occurred Feb. 26 in Bethesda.

Detectives released two videos of three suspects and are asking for your help to identify them.

According to a police account, at approximately 6:15 p.m. on Feb. 26, a 58-year-old man was walking his dog on Linden Lane near Pooks Hill Road. Two black males approached the man, assaulted him and stole his wallet and phone. The suspects then got into a black sedan and fled from the area. It is possible that a third suspect was involved during the robbery.

The victim was treated for multiple bruises and abrasions by County Fire & Rescue personnel at the scene of the robbery.

Investigators determined that the victim’s stolen credit cards were used in Largo and Greenbelt to purchase merchandise. Video surveillance from these stores captured three suspects.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about these suspects is asked to call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1.866.411.TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for any information that leads to the arrest of these suspects. Callers will remain anonymous.
