Police Investigate Armed Robbery in Germantown

Montgomery County police are investigating the Sept. 9 armed robbery of a Germantown Pizza Hut, and today investigators released surveillance photographs of the culprit in hopes the public can help find him.

About 2:26 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, Germantown District police responded to the restaurant, at 19733 Frederick Road, for the report of the armed robbery, police said. During the investigation, detectives found out the robber displayed a handgun, police said. Police said he vaulted the front counter and demanded cash from an employee, who complied with the demands. The culprit obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled, police said.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about this robbery is asked to call the Major Crimes Division; Robbery Section at 240-773-5100. Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest and/or an indictment for this crime.
