UPDATED Police Increase Patrols in Chevy Chase after Report of Suspicious Situation
UPDATE March 16, 1:15 p.m. The Montgomery County Police Department are investigating a report of a suspicious situation on that happened Friday, March 11 in Chevy Chase.
Police say two children are the only known witnesses and many details remain unconfirmed.
Investigators continue to follow possible leads and collect information. Police are asking anyone with information about this case to call detectives at 240.773.5400.

ORIGINAL March 14, 12:50 p.m. The Montgomery County Police Department is investigating the report of a suspicious situation in Chevy Chase that occurred last Friday morning before 7 a.m. in the 2600 block of Colston Drive.
Police said the preliminary investigation indicates that two brothers, ages four-and-a-half and seven, were in their front yard when a vehicle, described as a blue or green, smaller sized sedan, stopped in front of the home. According to police, a male driver, described as having short gray hair and a beard, possibly in his 50s or 60s, rolled down the car window and told the boys that he would give them a ride to school as he motioned for them to come to the vehicle.
Since that report, police officers have increased patrols in the area and they are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact them.
