Police have identified the two Montgomery County residents who were killed in a double-fatal car collision at Muddy Branch and West Deer Park Roads in Gaithersburg Wednesday evening.

On Thursday Montgomery County Police (MCPD) said Stephanie Angelica Vasquez, 25, of Kensington and Jonathan Charkas, 35, of Rockville were pronounced deceased at the scene. They were in a 2020 Toyota Supra and investigators say the car’s speed may have been a factor in the crash. Three adult males were in the other car, a 2001 Honda Accord, and were taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

Thursday morning MyMCMedia went to the scene of the collision and saw that the site was mostly cleared with some rubble and car parts remaining.
