Police Identify Man Shot and Killed in Silver Spring

Police identified 30-year-old Carlton Joseph Graham of Silver Spring as the man killed Friday night near the Forest Park Apartments in Silver Spring.

The Chief Medical Examiner’s Office ruled his death a homicide by gunshot, Montgomery County Police (MCPD) said in a release. MCPD released initial details Saturday. Police responded to the apartment complex on Piney Branch Road at about 11:30 p.m. Sept. 10 for a reported shooting. Arriving officers found Graham on the sidewalk with a suspected gunshot wound. Police said he was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police believe this was an isolated incident. This is an active investigation.
