Police Hope Public Can ID Armed Robber
Montgomery County police have released surveillance images of a man they believe committed two armed robberies, hoping someone recognizes him.
The first robbery occurred about 9:45 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, at the Eastern Carryout at 8555 Piney Branch Road, according to a police statement. The culprit displayed a weapon, threatened an employee, and stole cash from the business and property from an employee, police said.
The second occurred about 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, at the San Miguel Market at 808 Baltimore Road in Rockville, police said. The culprit displayed a weapon, threatened an employee, and stole cash from the business and property from the employee, police said.
Anyone with information regarding the man or the robberies is asked to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070. Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.
