Police: Family Member’s DNA Used to Crack Cold Case
A Germantown man has been arrested for a series of rapes committed more than 10 years ago after police used DNA from a family member to track down the suspect.
Marlon Alexander, 39, was charged in connection with four sexual assault and burglary incidents that happened between 2007 and 2011 in Germantown, according to Montgomery County Police Chief, Tom Manger.
Court records show that Alexander has been charged with: two counts of first and second-degree rape, several sex offenses, and first and second-degree burglary.
Alexander was arrested Sept. 13 at a grocery store in Germantown.
He was transported to the Central Processing Unit where he is being held without bond.
