Missing Wheaton Teen Found (Photo)
UPDATED- Jelani Bates has been located unharmed, according to police.
Montgomery County Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing Wheaton teen.
Jelani Bates, 14, of the 4000 block of Sigsbee Road in Silver Spring was last seen Oct. 28. According to the police, Bates was seen leaving around 4 p.m. to catch the bus to the Glenmont Metro Station and has not been in contact with her family.
Bates is described by police as a black female, 5′ 07″ tall, and weighs approximately 140 pounds. She has brown eyes and long black hair in braids. She was wearing blue overalls, a white shirt, and black New Balance sneakers.
