Montgomery County Police have arrested 22-year-old Randolph Middlebrook for first degree assault.

According to police, officers responded to the 11200 block of Valley Bend Drive for a domestic violence call at 9:15 p.m. on Aug. 18.

Police said the victim called 9-1-1 and stated that her boyfriend had struck her in head with a firearm and then physically forced her out of the residence. According to a police account, the victim’s two children, ages two and seven, witnessed the assault and remained in the home.

Officers attempted to make contact with Middlebrook several times without success, police said, and determined that he and the children were no longer in the home.
