Police Locate Missing Woman & Baby (Photos)

Montgomery County police have located the missing woman and baby safe and unharmed. Police and family are thanking the public and media for their assistance in publicizing this missing persons case.

Montgomery County police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing Gaithersburg woman and her baby.

According to police, Alyona Joy Mayo, age 20, was last seen at her residence in the 17100 block of Queen Victoria Court in Gaithersburg. Mayo is described as a white female, approximately 5’6’ tall, weighing 140 pounds, with shoulder length blonde hair and blue eyes, police said. (Note: Mayo’s hair is now shorter than her hair is in the photo). According to police, Mayo should be with her two-week-old daughter, Syrena Mayo. Police said Mayo was last seen yesterday evening at approximately 11 p.m. when she left her home with her daughter.

Police and family are concerned because Mayo functions at the level of an 11-year-old. At this stage of the investigation, police said there is no evidence of foul play.
