Police Arrest Man Suspected in Germantown 7-Eleven Armed Robbery

Montgomery County police detectives said tips from the public is what led to the arrest of a man suspected in an armed robbery at a 7-Eleven convenience store in Germantown.

21-year-old Logan Lawson was arrested and charged with one count of armed robbery, one count of first-degree assault, and one count of the use of a firearm during the commission of a felony, according to police records.

Police responded to a reported robbery on May 19 at the 7-Eleven store located at 12861 Clopper Road.

Detectives revealed that the suspect entered the store displaying a handgun, threatened an employee who was working behind the counter, and demanded cash from the registers.

During the investigation, detectives released surveillance video of the suspect to the public and asked for help in identifying him.

According to police, a 5th District patrol officer noted that the suspect’s “Call of Duty” backpack, seen in the surveillance video, was given to customers who pre-ordered the latest Call of Duty video game during a set time. Detectives were able to confirm that Lawson pre-ordered the game and received the bag.
