Picture Perfect Weekend at Brookside Gardens (PHOTOS)

It was a busy weekend at Brookside Gardens, where thousands of visitors stopped by to take photographs of the spring flowers and gardens.

Parks Spokesperson Melissa Chotiner said the information desk counted about 1,837 people on Easter Sunday and she said the actual number was probably double that because the staff only counts from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and not everyone comes thru the visitors center.

“Tulips were perfect, so lots of happy people and families taking pictures,” said Chotiner when asked about the crowds.

According to Chotiner, both parking lots were full on Saturday and Sunday and visitors also parked along Heurich Avenue. She said parks staff counted over 1,000 visitors on Saturday.
