Phone Outage Planned for Some County Extensions

The County telephone system serving extensions (240) 777 and (240) 773 will experience outages required for a maintenance upgrade beginning at 10 p.m. on July 11 until 2 a.m. on July 12.

The outages will be intermittent during these four hours and will affect both inbound and outbound calls. This includes calls to police district stations, the Animal Services Division, and some investigative unit numbers. Callers may call 301.279.8000 (the police non-emergency number) if they experience difficulty contacting a station or investigative unit during these four hours of maintenance.

Calls to 911, 311, police non-emergency number (301.279.8000) and the DHHS Crisis Center will not be affected by this scheduled outage.
