PHED Committee to Discuss Affordable Housing and Bethesda Downtown Plan

Affordable housing will be one topic of discussion during the Montgomery County Council’s Planning, Housing and Economic Development Committee’s meeting on Mar. 27.

The goal of this meeting is to address the affordable housing component of the proposed Bethesda Downtown Plan to increase or preserve affordable housing, according to a news release.

In addition to affordable housing, the PHED Committee will discuss the plan’s site recommendations for the Battery Lane District and a few follow up issues.

This is the PHED’s eighth worksession on the proposed Bethesda Downtown Sector Plan.

The meeting will take place in the Third Floor Hearing Room of the Council Office Building beginning at 2 p.m.
