Dance Contest at Fair

Pepco is supporting the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair by sponsoring the Community Stage, the VIP Children’s Day in the Kid Zone and will have an energy conservation information booth. The Fair is open from August 9 through August 17 and is located at 596 N. Frederick Ave., Gaithersburg.

The Community Stage will host the “So You Think You Can Dance” contest with cash prizes for the top three winners. Dancers will compete on August 9, 10, 16 and 17 at 8 p.m. Dancers are competing for the following prizes: 1st place $300, 2nd place $200, 3rd place $100. The first round will be on Friday, August 9. The second round will be on Saturday, August 10. Semi-finals will be held Friday, August 16 with the Grand Finale on Saturday, August 17.

Pepco’s information booth will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. The booth will provide fact sheets and materials about the new energy conservation programs developed by Pepco and EmPOWER Maryland.
