Pedestrian Safety Campaigns Focus on Visibility (Video)

The Montgomery County Department of Transportation launched two pedestrian safety campaigns focused on “visibility.” First, the “Shop With A Cop” campaign to increase safety and awareness in shopping mall parking lots. Second, the “Hey You, I’m Looking At You,” campaign focuses on the idea “be safe, be seen.” The signs for the “Hey You, I’m Looking At You,” campaign are now on Ride On buses. The idea for this pedestrian safety campaign, and the signs used in the campaign, were developed by students at Blair High School, see “See Them See You!” Winners (Video) for more about the origin of the slogan for this pedestrian safety campaign.
