Pedestrian Injured in Bethesda
Montgomery County police officers are investigating a serious pedestrian collision that occurred in Bethesda on March 13.
At approximately 9:37 a.m., police and fire units responded to a call for a pedestrian struck on Old Georgetown Road just north of Alta Vista Road.
According to police, the preliminary investigation reveals that a silver 2006 Honda Civic was traveling southbound on Old Georgetown Road. Police said the Honda struck a 59-year-old male pedestrian who was in the southbound lanes of Old Georgetown Road just north of Alta Vista Road. The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with investigators, according to police.
The pedestrian was transported to Suburban Hospital where he remains in serious condition and is undergoing treatment, police said. Police have identified the pedestrian as William George Cole of an unconfirmed address. The driver of the Honda has been identified as Remy Jean Pascal Bosselut, 52, of Bethesda.
The circumstances surrounding this collision remain under investigation.
