Police Respond to Two Pedestrian Accidents
Within one hour, Montgomery County police responded to two separate pedestrian collisions on Aug. 22.
The first accident occurred at 1:55 p.m. at Georgia Avenue and Henderson Avenue.
An adult female was transported to the hospital, according to police.
Police said all lanes of northbound Georgia Avenue were shut down for the investigation until shortly before 4:30 p.m..
The second accident was reported at 2:48 p.m. on Veirs Mill near the Twinbrook Shopping Center.
Police are reporting that westbound Veirs Mill is shut down between Atlantic Avenue and Bradley Avenue for an extended period of time for the investigation.
According to police, a 14-year-old male has been transported to a local trauma center and a fire official said the teen’s injuries are serious.
