Paint Branch Principal Honored (Photo)
Jeanette Dixon, principal of Paint Branch High School since 2001, was honored by the Montgomery County Council on December 4 for her outstanding achievements at the Burtonsville school. She recently was named winner of The Washington Post “Distinguished Educational Leadership Award,” which is given annually to one principal in each Washington metropolitan area school district for promoting an excellent educational program and creating an exceptional educational environment. Councilmember Valerie Ervin presented a proclamation on behalf of the Council. Also at the ceremonies in Rockville was Michael Zarchin, the director of School Support and Improvements for Montgomery County Public Schools.
