The Day of Service is scheduled from 9:30 a.m.- 2:30 p.m. at Reid Temple A.M.E. Church – North Campus 12101 Tech Road, Silver Spring- where Paint Branch students are expected to participate in community service projects such as assembling disaster relief buckets for hurricane and flood victims, creating soldier welcome home packages, assembling bagged lunches for the homeless and assembling birthing kits for women who are unable to access hospitals and much more to help our community. Participating students receive Student Service Learning hours.

“This event is a great example of how the community comes together to support each other,” Principal Myriam Rogers wrote in an email.

Rogers said the community can join in the effort by helping to prepare bag lunches, writing letters and cards to our senior community members, military service men and women, and sick children and much more.
