Rockville Voters Cast 613 Ballots Early, Gaithersburg Voters Cast 426 Early
UPDATED On Nov. 3rd, voters in the cities of Gaithersburg, Rockville and Takoma Park will go to the polls to cast their ballots.
In Rockville, residents are electing a Mayor and four Councilmembers, and, in October, 613 Rockville voters cast their ballots early at Rockville City Hall.
In case you are wondering, there are 41,056 registered voters in the city of Rockville. The voter turnout in the previous Rockville election was over 16-percent, according to City spokesperson Marylou Berg. She added that 6,685 votes were cast in 2013. At Gaithersburg City Hall, there were 426 votes cast and five provisional ballots during three days of early voting. Residents in Gaithersburg are voting for a Mayor and three Councilmembers. In the 2013 election, a city official said there were 1,737 ballots cast or 5.4 percent of registered voters. As of Oct. 19, there are 33,409 registered voters in the city of Gaithersburg.
