Ortman-Fouse Tops Evans for At-Large School Board Seat

The latest election results now show what started as a close race between Montgomery County School Board at-large candidates Jill Ortman-Fouse and Shebra Evans stayed that way all night.photo of Jill Ortman-Fouse

The Montgomery County Board of Elections website shows Ortman-Fouse with 51.37 percent or 88,748 to Evans’ 83,081

There are still 9,883 absentee ballots that are left to be counted.

All three incumbents will return to the school board winning votes to retain their seats. Judy Docca’s  90,927 votes topped Kristin Trible’s 74,759 for the district 1 seat. In district 3 Patricia O’Neill tallied 106,926 to outpace Laurie Halverson’s 62,772 votes. And, in district 5, Mike Durso got 100,271 to beat out Larry Edmonds who got 62,566 votes.
