The beehive was not on school property. One student, one of a group walking to the school, reportedly kicked over a beehive on his way to school.
The school is in the 15800 block of Quince Orchard Road, Gaithersburg. The bee attack took place shortly after 8 a.m., according to Pete Piringer, spokesman for the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service.
