Olney Library to Close for Repairs Over Memorial Day Weekend

Montgomery County Public Library (MCPL) officials have announced that the Olney Library will be closed from 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 21 until 9 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26 so repairs can be made to a sanitary sewer line.

The bookdrop will remain open for returns during the repairs.

According to officials, the emergency work must be completed as quickly as possible to assure that restrooms will function properly in the facility. The library is located at 3500 Olney-Laytonsville Road.

MCPL officials said they selected the Memorial Day weekend to complete the work to minimize the impact on library users. All Montgomery County Public Libraries are closed Sunday, May 24 and Monday, May 25 in honor of the Memorial Day holiday.
