Olney Theatre and Farmers Market

Olney is a great city and has a lot of interesting things to see and do. There is the Olney Theatre, where you can go to see big name stage shows in the evening or if you prefer day time there are matinees. Right across the street is the Olney Ale house, a great place to grab a quick lunch or dinner before or after visiting the theater. Beginning this week on Wednesday August 1, 2012  Little Shop of Horrors will be opening at the theatre. Check out their website olneytheatre.org for dates and times.

On Sundays , May-November you can visit the  Olney Farmers Market from 9am-1pm. The farmers market is a great place to get locally grown produce of all kinds, baked goods and other crafts created by local residents. There are lot of tents setup for food vendors, photography, artwork, and all other types of interesting things to buy. If you are not here to buy, you can just walk through and see what the locals are doing.  Most Sundays there is a band playing, so  if you just want to sit and listen to that you can do that also. It’s just a great place to visit and have a relaxing few hours Sunday mornings, and maybe even pick up some vegetables and fruit for dinner. The market is located near the corner of Rt. 108 and Prince Philip dr. the entrance is on Prince Phillip dr..
