Gaithersburg Oktoberfest 2015 cThe 24th annual Oktoberfest in Kentlands set a record for attendance on Oct. 11, according to a Gaithersburg city official.

“We’ve determined that the crowd estimate is 35,000,” said Michele Potter, Gaithersburg’s parks, recreation and culture director. “The last two years have been approximately 30,000.”

The weather could not have been better for the popular fall festival. It was postcard perfect, blue skies and moderate temperatures.

Oktoberfest included several stages of live music and entertainment, food, wine tastings, horse-drawn wagon rides, crafts for children, vendors, a business expo, strolling entertainers, mini-golf and more.
